I have my key in clipboard. When I try to import it, the key shows up, but the application doesnt import it when I click the import button.

Things I like: Direct file transfer over iTunes (no cloud) makes it safe and easy to import existing keys Dropbox integration is also really useful Very compatible with other apps. Im very pleased with this app because it makes good data hygiene possible on mobile devices, without requiring new keys too! Good work!

The app works great in iOS. The developer is also easy to reach and responds to emails. Well done.

OPenGP is one of the most valuable apps for my IOS devices. I keep my logins, passwords and important personal information in a PDF (Portable Document Format) file which I encrypt using GPG (the free GNU Privacy Guard) on my PCs. OPenGP allows me to copy that encrypted file to my IOS devices and to decrypt the file using my private encryption key I generated with GPG. No one else can decrypt the file unless they have the passcode for my private key (which I protect carefully). After I get the information I need from my decrypted file (OpenGP allows viewing PDF files), OPenGP erases the decrypted file. The encrypted file is still available for the next time I need it.

I was really hoping I would be able to create a new key using this instead of annoyingly transferring it from my PC.

UPDATE: One MAJOR flaw it also has is that t forces you to use you contacts to search for keys on PGP servers instead of providing a search field. For an app that is supposed to be for privacy, I find this to be obscene and have deducted another star. UPDATE 2: Also cannot do symmetric (passphrase only) encryption/decryption. Im not sure why a developer with a piece of software so great would allow a bug to linger and survive for almost three years. Reading the reviews, youll see that the import from clipboard bug has existed almost as long as the software has been around. While it is nice that i can draw import keys from DropBox, that is a tedious convoluted workaround when i should be able to simply cut-and-paste from email. The latter being the way i normally receive my public keys. Given that this is an app with a price tag, I would think that bugs would be handled in a timely manner. Even though this app is being presented as production quality, the missing clipboard functionality really puts it at the beta test level at best. I dont think it is right for developers to charge users to test their product. This app should be on the free list until the critical paste from clipboard functionality has been added.

Crashes while importing certain keys :(

Used to be good. Crashes when importing keys. Since keys cannot be created in this app, this app has become totally worthless. This has been an ongoing problem for months; I finally just deleted the app.

Ive been using this program for some time now and while it has some flaws I dont feel it deserves the bad ratings it has. It has worked well for me. It is not as easy to use as I would like but that seems to be partly because of iOS. If you take the time to learn it encryption/decryption is reasonably easy and quick. I use it on the go to keep in touch with my friends who are using encryption and I have to say it works for me. The biggest drawback is that you have to be willing to take the time to learn how to use it. And I guess that makes it a no go for most these days. Just my opinion but then I learned how to use it.

Crashing when importing keys ?? ••• REVISION OF MY ORIGINAL REVIEW!! - When I first bought this app I thought there was a prob importing keys - There Isnt !! The prob was/is an inability of iPhone to correctly copy pgp keys from some specific locations. Its the copy NOT THE IMPORT thats the prob. After using this app for several months now I can honestly say that this app is GREAT! And it seems to be the only app like it here. We need this app, so, support it & its designer, we need them both.

First four keys Ive tried to import crash the app.. making it completely useless.

The previous version - 6.0.3 - worked great. This current version does not decrypt. It is also heavily bloated (147 meg!) where the previous version was only 6. Yes, only 6. The developer also used to respond to email (there had been some issues that required fixing which he was quite attentive to in the beginning) but now he is silent. Also, his website has not been updated for a LONG time. Apple needs to pull this app and investigate the huge increase in appsize and lack of support for a broken app.

If Im prompted to enter the device passcode on my iPad 3, I cant see your keyboard to type on. This app used to work great, but like so many others, updates have ruined it.

Ever since the July 30 update both iPhone and iPad crash when attempting decrypt App is useless since last update

No way to switch back to this app after grabbing passphrase from my password manager as nothing appears for its entry. Catastrophic bug that has gone unresolved for months now. Not cool.

Please do not download waste of time and money too complicated and not user friendly.

I installed oPenGP on my iPhone 5s. After importing my keys, it was a snap to to decrypt and view files in my cloud accounts. It integrates with my DropBox account, but it is easy to decrypt file in OneDrive and iCloud by just selecting the encrypted file and using the "send to" ribbon to select oPenGP. I am much more comfortable now that sensitive files on cloud services are securely encrypted.

App is a joke. Cant copy and paste keys into the program. The owner should be ashamed he charges money in order to buy this JUNK. Get it together and fix this stuff.
